This was my first season of Milan Fashion Week, and I was more than excited about selecting the best and most versatile outfit for my first day of shows. I wanted to wear something chic, comfortable and elegant, in case I have to run around anywhere across the city.
How this outfit works?
Really, you can take this look and throw on some denim, a cardigan, blazer or tuck the top into some high-waisted shorts for a summer look. Then you could use more simplistic jewelry like a silver-chain, gold-leaf chain, or statement necklace. I feel this look takes on a biker-chic style, and my Zara jacket definitely makes it look more high-fashion.
Who Am I Wearing?
Subdued ~ Cherry-Red Top
Le Chateau ~ Chandalier Statement Necklace
Zara ~ Navy-Cropped Trousers
Zara ~ Faux Leather Jacket
XTI Tentations ~ Lavender Metalic Loafers
Places to Wear This Look?
I mean, you can wear this look even to an interview. Maybe not with the faux-leather jacket, but you could layer it with a cropped sweater, sophisticated blazer, or tuck it into a navy or black pencil skirt. If you decide to go out at night, change into some black jeans, add some cute stilettos with a classic clutch. There are many ways to change up this look from day to night.
In Milan people are fashion focused, they are either wearing classic Gucci, Prada, Armani or MaxMara. In this city, people dress for success and do it the best. No wonder it's the fashion capital of Italy.
There is never a dull moment in Milan, and there really is lots to see and do! The fashion district is a dream, with every single high-end designer brand like MaxMara, Marni, Gucci, Prada, LV, and YSL to name a few. Maybe not so affordable, but perfect for window shopping.
I am definitely going back to Milan, whether for next season's fashion week or just to explore the beautiful fashion and downtown lifestyle.
