This past Easter weekend, my host family and family friends explored the beautiful Cazorla mountains, located in the south of Spain.
This place was absolutely beautiful, with treetops so high, steep and rocky cliffs, wildlife around every corner, the best views, and mountains just beyond the horizon.
This was a place to get away from the city life, but wasn't exactly the Spanish "beach vacation". We would wake up fairly early.. around 9am, prepare breakfast ( nutella, bread, ham, cheese, and hot coco). Then we strapped on our hiking boots, tones of layers (scarf, gloves, long-johns, wool socks, wind-breakers, and winter coat). Even though we are in the south of Spain, the weather in the mountains was much colder, then the main land.
Our families joined for the week, and there were many children, ready to explore!
The spring waters were so fresh, you could drink from it no problem!
The best moment, was watching the sunset over the Cazorla mountains....
